4.5.4.15 Waiver of tests. Tests specified in 4.4.1
(Vibration; transportation) and 4.4.3 (Shock; transportation)
may be waived by the procuring agency for Level C packs
only, provided the contractor guarantees the item will be
delivered to the using activity in such a condition that any
item selected shall be capable of meeting all the requirements
of 3.3.
4.5.4.16 Acceptance criteria. Failure of the actuator,
tachometer, or diode to meet any of the requirements and
tests of this specification shall be considered cause for
rejection.
5.
PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY
5.1 Preservation and packaging
5.1.1
Level A
5.1.1.1 Cleaning. If further cleaning is required after
final assembly cleanup, the actuator shall be cleaned in
accordance with Method C-1 of Specification MIL-P-116,
provided the process is not injurious to the item.
5.1.1.2 Drying.
If required, the actuator shall be
dried in accordance with one or more of the procedures
given in Specification MIL-P-116, provided the process is
not injurious to the item.
5.1.1.3 Preservative app lication.
None.
5.1.1.4 Unit packaging.
Each actuator shall be packaged
in an individual metallic container in accordance with the
drawings and other requirements listed in BUWEPS LD 495980
for actuator 694739-1 and LD 620137 for actuator 694739-2.
5.1.1.5 Intermediate package.
Not applicable.
5.1.2 Level B.
Not applicable.
5.1.3
Level C
5.1.3.1 Cleaning, drying, and preservative app lication.
Cleaning, drying, and preservative application shall be in
accordance with 5.1.1.
