4.61 Adapter inspection. Each adapter shall be inspected to
ensure that it has been properly assembled and adjusted, and that the
workmanship is as specified herein (see 3.7).
126.96.36.199 Qualification by analysis, inspection, and demonstration.
All requirements for the adapter not qualified by testing shall be
qualifiec by analysis, inspection or demonstrations approved by the
188.8.131.52 Packaging inspection. Each adapter shall be examined to
ensure that the preparation for delivery conforms to this specification
(see section 5).
4.6.2 Additional tests. The adapter shall pass the following
tests of MIL-T-7743 as specified, except as modified herein.
Lag Time (see 184.108.40.206)
Vibration Test (see 220.127.116.11)
High-g Release (see 18.104.22.168)
Life Test (see 22.214.171.124)
Shock Test (see 126.96.36.199)
Static Test (see 188.8.131.52)
Salt Spray (see 184.108.40.206)
220.127.116.11 Lag time. Rated voltage shall be applied to the parent
bomb rack and the time interval between voltage application and the last
contact of the bomb lugs from the adapter hooks shall be measured. The
lag time for the adapters shall not exceed 0.100 second. The lag time
of the adapters shall be determined by first measuring the lag time of
the parent bomb rack using a 453 kilogram (1,000 pound) store and subtrac-
ting this average value from the combined lag time of the adapters and
parent bomb rack when used together. The lag time of the adapters shall
be determined under the conditions listed in Table IV.
The adapters and parent bomb rack shall be
subjected to the following vibration tests. The procedures of MIL-T-
7743 shall be applicable.
Resonance vibration, search unloaded.
