MIL-B-62152A(AT)
(a) A permanent magnet (PM) type engine driven alternator rated at not less than
1200 watts at 110 volts single phase, 60 Hertz.
(b) A power pack device or devices, Lorain Model WBA-601M, or equivalent, capable
of converting the 12-volt dc vehicle battery power to provide not less than 300 watts
at 110 volts, single phase 60 Hertz to wire molds, located on each side of the bus.
The power pack shall be capable of handling both inductive (induction motor) and
resistive loads without damage to loads or the power pack. A warning light shall be
furnished adjacent to the disconnect switch to indicate when the switch is in the "on"
position to prevent excessive battery drain.
The vehicle electrical system shall also include a 110-volt male outlet mounted on the exterior
curbside at the rear, for connecting an exterior power source to the vehicle. A transformer and
rectifier shall be provided to reduce a portion of the 110-volt, 60 Hertz, single phase shore power
to 12 volts dc for use on appropriate 12-volt circuits. Protective devices and line disconnects/
switches shall be provided to select adequate vehicle power or shore power for the 12-volt dc and
110-volt ac components. Component voltages and source of power for the components for both
parked-standby and over-the-road operations shall be as indicated in table I.
