MILITARY SPECIFICATION
COMPRESSORS, RECIPROCATING AND ROTARY,
AIR, ELECTRIC MOTOR DRIVEN
This specification is approved for use by all Departments and Agencies of the
D e p a r t m e n t of Defense.

SCOPE
1.1 Scope. This specification covers electric motor-driven, garage type,
reciprocating and rotary air compressors.
1 . 2 C l a s s i f i c a t i o n . The compressors shall be of the following types, classes,
and sizes as specified (see 6.2).
