3.8.4 Latitude Correction Control - A manual set control labeled LAT
with a latitude dial shall be provided to correct the control assembly
for the apparent  drift of the directional gyro due to the earth's
rotation.  The latitude dial shall be marked in latitude from 0 to
90, graduated in 2 increments, with major divisions and numerals
10. The correction shall be applied in both DG and SLAVED modes
of operation.
3.8.4.1  North and South Hemisphere Selector - The selection of the
Northern or Sourthern Hemisphere  shall be made by a manual selector
and the selection shall be indicated by the display of the letter
on the compass system controller panel.
3.8.5 Synchronizing Indicator - A synchronizing indicator, other than
signal lights, shall be provided to indicate synchronization to within
1/40 between the heading output and the magnetic azimuth detector, or
