3.8). If the overall lighting does not fall within the color and
brightness limits of the applicable lighting specification, the compass
system controller shall be rejected. This test shall be conducted in a
completely dark room.
4.6.4 Electronic Control Amplifier Tests - The following connections are
necessary to perform the electronic control amplifier test:
Connect the simulated controller to the electronic control
a.
amplifier using the compass system controller connections (2J3) shown in
table IV.
Connect

b.
the
gyroscope
simulated
displacement
transmitter stator leads to the following connector (2J2) pins as shown
in table III:
S1 to 1
S2 to 2
S3 to 3
Connect the simulated magnetic azimuth detector stator leads
c.
to the following connector (2J3) pins as shown in table IV:
S1 to 16
S2 to 17
S3 to 18
d.
Connect the servoed repeater to each heading output as
required using the following connector (2J1) pins as shown in table V.
Output No. 1 is to be monitored unless specifically stated otherwise.
