Rotate 0 compensation potentiometer fully cw.  Synchronize
the electronic control amplifier by depressing and holding the heading
set  control on the controller,  then position the azimuth detector to
obtain a 0 heading.

Set  the  compensation  switch to

re-synchronize the electronic control amplifier.

The heading must have decreased by 4 1 from the
compensated value.

Set the compensation switch to the ON position.
Rotate the 0 compensation potentiometer on the electronic

Re-synchronize  the  electronic  control
amplifier and position the azimuth detector to obtain a O heading.

re-synchronize the electronic control amplifier.

Return the 0 compensation potentiometer on the electronic
control amplifier approximately to the center position.
Repeat steps c, d, e, f, g, h, and i with the heading set at

each 15 and with the correspondingly marked compensation potentiometer
being employed.
4.6.4.3  Heading Servo Scale Error, IX Mode - The heading servo scale
error DG mode shall be checked as follows:
a.
Set the controls on the controller and electronic control
amplifier as follows:
Mode switch to IX
Latitude control to O
Hemisphere switch to N
Compensation switch to OFF
O
b.
Set the displacement gyroscope heading transmitter to O .
c.
Depress and rotate heading set control knob on the controller
to position the servoed repeater connected to heading output No.  1 to
0.
