A malfunction shall be signaled as specified in 3.7.6.2.
(2)
Turn mode selector switch on controller to the SLAVED
position.
The malfunction signal shall remain.
(3)
Turn mode selector switch on controller to the COMP or
EMERG position.
The malfunction signals shall disappear.
4.6.4.12 Compass or Emergency Mode Operation - Compass or emergency mode
operation shall be checked as follows:
a.
Set the controls on the controller and the electronic control
amplifier as follows:
Mode switch to COMP or EMERG
Latitude control to 0
Hemisphere switch to N
Compensation switch to OFF
b.
Rotate the azimuth detector in 30 increments  noting  the
servoed repeater heading output.
The difference  between the azimuth
detector position and the servoed repeater heading output shall not vary
by more than 1 at each point.
4.6.4.13 Linear Acceleration Control Functions - The linear acceleration
control functions shall be checked as follows:
a.
Set the controls on the controller and the electronic control
amplifier as follows:
Mode switch to SLAVED
Latitude Control to 0
Hemisphere switch to N
Compensation switch to OFF
b.
Set a decade resistor to 8,000 ohms and connect it from
connector 2J2-5 to 2J2-9.
Position the azimuth detector to O.
C.
d.
Depress  and hold the  heading set  control knob on the
controller  until  the  indicated  servoed
repeater  heading  becomes
synchronized with the azimuth detector heading.
