applicable specifications and standards.
3.3 Core requirements.
3.3.1 Core sensitivity.  With an input drive signal of 1.0
oersted zero to peak, 10 Hertz sine waver at Z=0 the core shall
produce a minimum signal of 800 millivolt, O to peak.
3.3.2 Core linearity.  Core sensitivity at Z= 0.45 oersteds
shall not vary in excess of 11% from the core sensitivity at Z=0
oersteds.
3.4 First article inspection.  When specified in the contract
or purchase order, a sample shall be subject to first article
inspection in accordance with the technical provisions herein.

3.5 Workmanship.  The toroid core shall be fabricated,
finished and tested in a thorough workmanlike manner.  They shall
be free of burrs, chips, sharp edges, cracks, unblended radii,
surface defect, dirt, grease, rust, corrosion and other foreign
matter.  The cleaning method used shall not be injurious to any
part, nor shall the part be contaminated by the cleaning agents.
All markings and stamping shall be neat and sharply defined.
4.
QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVIS IONS
4.1 Responsibility for inspection and standard quality
assurance provisions.  Unless otherwise specified herein, or in
the contract, the provisions of MIL-A-48078 shall apply, and are
hereby made a part-of this detail specification.
4.1.1 Responsibility for compliance.  All items must meet all
requirements of sections 3 and 5.  The inspection set forth in
this specification shall become a part of the contractor's overall
inspection system or quality program.  The absence of any
inspection requirements in the specification shall not relieve the
contractor of the responsibility of assuring that all products or
supplies submitted to the Government for acceptance comply with
all requirements of the contract.  Sampling in quality conformance
does not authorize submission of known defective material, either
indicated or actual, nor does it commit the Government to
acceptance of defective material.
4.2 Classification of inspections.  The following types of
inspection shall be conducted on this item.

b.
Quality conformance inspection
