procuring activity.  Hazard sign shall conform to MIL-STD-1474, 4.3, except the
sign will stae "HEARING PROTECTION REQUIRED WITHIN (specify) FEET".  The sign
shall be readable at the distance indicated on the sign. For the purpose of the
noise measurement, the operator position is defined as 1.5 feet  the
compressor.

3.8.1 Rated capacity.  Within one hour of operation after starting, the
compressor shall deliver not less than 15 cubic feet per minute (cfm) at ASME
standard of 14.7 psia, 68
ard 36 percent relative humidity at a delivery
pressure of 3,500 pounds per square inch (psi) (see 6.6.1 and 6.6.2) when
operating under all conditions specified herein. The moisture content of the
delivered air shall be no greater than 23.6 parts per million (ppm) by volume
dewpoint at 14.7 pounds per square inch absolute (psia)).
3.8.2 Tilted operation. The compressor shall deliver the rated capacity at
3,500 psi for not less than 30 minutes when tilted in any position at an angle
of 15 degrees from the horizontal with the oil level in the enqine and
compresor on the "low" or "add" mark when checked with compressor unit sitting
on a level surface.  The compressor shall stand for not less than 4 hours in a
