Provide foundation brake assemblies selected
from the air-over-hydralic foundation brake
suppliers, which are matched to or compatible
with the axle GAWR's.

Suspension.
Unless otherwise specified, provide flexibly
sprung, suspension system, tailored to the load
imposed and ranging between 70 to
100 percent of the axle rating, as necessary for
a non-damaging ride.
Provide single (1-axle), tandem (2-axle) or
tridem (3-axle) as specified herein and in the
applicable trailer specification sheet.
Provide min. 48-l/4-in. axle-to-axle wheelbases
with those multi-axle suspensions, which
exceed a multi-axle actual suspension loading
of 12,000 lb. and would be legally considered,
by the states, as a single axle load instead of
multi-axle.
For off-road travel over adverse terrain provide
stabilized ride of the trailer and equipment with
a high center of gravity without hazardous
handling and provide soft, non-damaging ride
on highway.
Provide suspension to protect trailer from
damaging shock and vibration. Provide
transverse roll angle stiffness such that a max.
7.5 degree angle, between axle centerline and
trailer frame, is not exceeded at GVWR while
traversing a level roadway curve producing up
to 0.5 g's lateral acceleration.
Provide positive control over axle rotation and
tendency of the axles to brake-hop during
braking.
Single-axle suspension having the specified
travel articulation from full compression to
rebound.
