Floor Assembly.
As specified, provide a full width wood and
aluminum or steel platform body for the
equipment specified by the contracting activity.
Provide full width crossmembers integrally
welded into longitudinal frame rails and the
platform perimeter frame.
Cover platform with a replaceable, weather
resistant treated wood plank flooring.
Plank min. 2-in. nominal lumber thickness.
Pressure-test all planks to comply with the
American Wood Preservation Association's
(AWPA) Standards for resistance to rot and
decay.
Wood planks 1/4 to 1/2-in. above steel
framing.
Secure planks with plated recessed bolts and
nuts, relying on bridge clips to clamp the
flooring to the undrilled frame longitudinal and
crossmembers.
As specified, substitute min. 1/4-in. aluminum
tread plate floor covering for the wood
planking.
Front Wall or Headboard Assembly.

Side Wall Assembly.

As specified, cover all stationary walls of the
body with exterior paneling of the smoother
skin type, waterproof, airtight, and
stress-wrinkle free.
Panel material of either fiberglass reinforced
plastic (FRP) with plywood core or aluminum
sheeting intended for containers and trailers.
Provide FRP plywood per APA Plywood
Design Specification Manual X215 and U.S.
Product Standard PSI.
Core of APA Group I, Exterior Type.
Panels min. 1/2-in. thick on front,
