4.4.4 Tests. Samples selected in accordance with 4.4.2 shall be tested as
specified in 4.5.2 through 4.5.2.l.3 and 22.214.171.124 through 126.96.36.199.2. Failure
of any test shall be cause for rejection.
4.5 Inspection Procedure.
4.5.1 Examination. The camouflage screening support components shall be
examined as hereing for the following defects:
Dmensions not as specified (see 3.1.1).
Weight of support system not as specified (see 3.1.2).
Components missing, not as specifid, or damaged (see 3.1.2).
Material not as specified (see 3.3).
Materials are not resistant to corrosion or deterioration or not
treated to be made resistant to corrosion or deterioration for the
applicable storage and operating environment (see 3.3.1).
Contractor does not have documentation available for identification
of material, material finishes, or treatment (see 188.8.131.52) .
Used, rebuilt, or remanufactured comonents, pieces and parts
incorporated in the camouflage screening suport system (see 3.3.2).
Construction of support poles not as specified (see 3.4.1).
Connector and end reinforcements, when applicable, not as specified
FRP batten spreaders with blisters or delminations latger than
0.50-inch diameter, wrinkles, ripples, cracks, or loose fibers, or
any other visible malformation which exceeds government-approved
visual acceptance standards for batten spreaders (see 3.5).
Colors not as specified (see 3.7, 3.8, and 3.9).
Stakes not as specified (see 3.7).
Case not as specified (see 3.8).
Treatment not as specified (see 3.9).
Support poles do not fit together or disassemble as specified.
Spreader adapter nut and spreader adapter body are not compatiblee
Spreader adapter nut does nut lock batten spreaders in position.
Spreader adapter nut does not unlock by hand.
Thermopastic batten spreaders with blisters or pores larger than
0.125-inch diameter, wrinkles, ripples, or cracks.
Any malformation which exceeds the standard specified in the
Identification marking missing, incorrect, or illegible (see 3.11).
Workmanship not as specifid (see 3.12).
4.5.2 Tests. Unless otherwise specified herein, test results for
184.108.40.206.1.1, 220.127.116.11.2.1, and 18.104.22.168 shall be the average of five specimens.
