APPENDIX
TEST METHOD NO. 11
HIGHWAY TRANSPORTABILITY
1. TEST APPARATUS:
a. M747 semi-trailer(s) and suitable towing tractor.
b. Crane of sufficient capacity to handle disassembled sections
of the crane.
2. TEST PROCEDURE:
a. Using the procedures contained in the transportability report
furnished by the contractor, disassemble the crane to highway
transport configuration.
b. Record time for disassembly, equipment, and manpower utilized,
and weight of each major component disassembled.
c. Load each transport load aboard the semi trailer(s).

d. Record height, width, length, and total weight of each
transport load.
e. Record total time for disassembly and loading, not including
time allotted for weighing.
f. Reassemble the crane and record total time for reassembly,
equipment, and manpower utilized.
