of the cartridge is caused to impact against a stationary steel plate with a
velocity at the point of impact of 55-5 feet per second (ft/sec).
3.4 Residual stress.- The cartridge case shall not split when subjected
to a 1.0% mercurous nitrate solution for 15 minutes.
3.5 Waterproof.- The cartridge shall not release more than one bubble
of air when subjected to a pressure differential of 7 pounds per square
inch (psi) for 30 seconds.
