MIL-C-70489(AR)
separate planes for the time period specified. Upon completion of
the vibration sweep the MBC shall be removed from the vibration
adapter and shall be subjected to all the tests in 4.6.3. It
shall meet the requirements of 3.2.1.1 and 3.2.1.11 inclusive.
4.6.3  Functional.  Tests contained in 4.6.3.1 and 4.6.3.11
inclusive are to be conducted utilizing appropriate calibrated
meters, fixtures, adapters, and cables connected to the contacts
specified in the tests respective requirement paragraph in 3.2.1.1
and 3.2.1.11 inclusive.
4.6.3.1 External input power. Attach the MBC to a vehicular
power  supply  (20  to  30  VDC).  Apply  input  power  up  the  MBC,
and measure the MBC'S power consumption. The MBC shall meet the
requirements of 3.2.1.1.
4.6.3.2 Internal input power. Select one of the batteries
specified on 11785700 for this test. Insert the batter, power up
the MBC, and subject the MBC to the test contained in 4.6.3.11
with the exception that the 28 volt DC power is the selected
battery. The MBC shall meet the requirements of 3.2.1.2.
4.6.3.3 Local push to talk. Attach the MBC to an ohm meter
and measure the resistance during message transmissions from the
AUDIO TO AM RADIO and AUDIO TO FM RADIO outputs. Stop message
transmissions and measure the resistance. The MBC shall meet the
requirements of 3.2.1.3.
4.6.3.4 FM Radio output. Attach the MBC to a voltmeter.
Terminate the FM RADIO output in a 50 ohm resistive load. Measure
the voltage between AUDIO TO FM RADIO and RADIO COMMON during
transmissions. The MBC shall meet the requirements of 3.2.1.4.
4.6.3.5 AM Radio output. Attach the MBC to a voltmeter.
Terminate the AM radio output in a 50 ohm resistive load. Measure
the voltage between AUDIO t0 AM RADIO and RADIO COMMON during
transmissions. The MBC shall meet the requirements of 3.2.1.5.
4.6.3.6 Wireline output. Attach the MBC to a voltmeter.
Terminate WIRELINE signal lines in a 600 ohm resistive load.
Measure the voltage between WIRELINE 1 and WIRELINE 2 during
transmision. The MBC shall meet the requirements of 3.2.1.6.
Input signals to the MBC as specified in 3.2.1.6 and Verify the
MBC had received the input signals.
4.6.3.7 Radio input.  Attach the MBC to a signal source
between AUDIO FROM AM RADIO and RADIO COMMON. Also attach a
signal source between AUDIO FROM FM RAD1O and RADIO COMMON. Input
signals to the MBC as specified in 3.2.1.7. Verify the MBC had
received the input signals.
