3.3.2.2 Rated load.  The rated load shall be a combined drag and
inertia load connected to a 96-tooth, 12-pitch load gear. The drag load
shall be a load that increases linearaly from 20 10% foot-pounds (ft-lbs)
at rest to 107 ft-lbs prior to or at 667 rpm in not more than 0.4 seconds.
The inertia of the load shall be 1500 pound-inches squared (lb-in).

3.3.3 Endurance.  Drives shall be capable of completing 300 duty
cycles without functioning failure. A duty cycle shall be defined as
time-on for 2 seconds and time-off for 15 seconds with cooling to ambient
temperature after each series (5 duty cycles). Cleaning and lubrication
shall be accomplished after each 10 series. Testing shall be as specified
in 4.5.3.6.
3.4 Interchangeability.  Unless otherwise specified on the appli-
cable drawings, all parts shall be interchangeable. (In normal assembly
operations there shall be no objections interposed to preferential assembly
of parts provided that all parts are dimensionally acceptable.) Testing
shall be as specified in 4.5.3.7.
3.5 Marking.
Marking of drives shall be in accordance with
MIL-W-13855.
Workmanship shall be in accordance with MIL-W-13855.
3.6 Workmanship.
4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS
4.1 Responsibility for inspection.  Unless otherwise specified in
the contract or purchase order, the supplier is responsible for perform-
ance of all inspection requirements as specified herein. Except as other-
wise specified in the contract or order, the supplier may use his own or
any other facilities suitable for the performance of the inspection re-
quirements specified herein, unless disapproved by the Government. The
Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth
in the specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure
supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements.

4.2 Quality assurance terms and definitions. Quality assurance
terms and definitions used herein are in accordance with MIL-STD-109.

4.3 Classification of inspection.  The inspection requirements
specified herein are classified as follows:
