3.6 Painting, markinq and data Plates.
3.6.1 Paintinq.  Unless otherwise specified, the exterior and
interior of the dispenser, components, assemblies, subassemblies,
and parts that require painting, shall be prepared and painted in
accordance with MIL-STD-193.
3.6.2 Marking.  Each dispenser shall be clearly marked in

3.7 Servicing and adjustment.  Prior to delivery the contractor
shall service and adjust each dispenser and its mounted material for
specified use (See MIL-D-63370, Preparation for Shipment and
Storage) including the following:  adjustment of brake system,
inflation of all tires, complete lubrication of chassis, suspensions
and axles, with proper grade of lubricant (per Lube Order
LO9-1095-205-12) for the climatic condition at the delivery point.
3.8 Workmanship.
3.8.1 General.  Workmanship shall be in accordance with the
requirements herein and any requirements of the detail equipment
specifications applicable to soldering, marking of parts and
assemblies, wiring, welding and brazing, plating, painting,
finishes, riveting, machine screw assemblies, machine operations;
freedom from parts with blemishes, burrs, sharp edges, or any other
damage or defect that could make the part (or equipment).

3.8.2 Riveted connections.  Rivet-holes shall be accurately
Punched or drilled and shall have the burrs removed.  Rivets shall
be driven with pressure tools and shall completely fill the holes.
Rivet heads, when not countersunk or flattened, shall be of approved
shape and of uniform size for the same diameter of rivets. The
upset rivet heads shall be full, neatly made, concentric with the
rivet holes, and in full contact with the surface of the member, and
shall be in accordance with SAE J492-77 or Industrial Fastener
Institute Standard No. 114 for Break Mandrel Blind Rivets.
3.8.3 Bolted connections.  Bolt holes shall be accurately
punched or drilled and shall have the burrs removed. Washers or
lockwashers shall be provided where necessary. Matching thread
areas securing bolts conforming to SAE J429-83 or capscrews shall be
of sufficient strength to withstand the tensile strength to permit
the bolt or capscrew to be torqued to its required stressed
condition.  All fasteners shall be torqued in accordance with SAE
J429-83 and SAE J995C-77, and shall have full thread engagement.
