MIL-D-63303B(AR)
4.5.2.7 Inertia brake actuator test.  To determine conformance
to 3.5.1.4.4, separation of the fully loaded dispenser from the
prime mover shall be simulated by pulling the lanyard while the
chassis is stationary.  After the specified time, an attempt shall
be made to move the dispenser chassis. Then, the actuatir release
cable shall be pulled, releasing the ratchet.  Evidence of the
following defects shall constitute failure of this test:
a.  Failure of the chassis wheels to lock upon activation of
the brake actuator.
b.  Free movement of the dispenser wheels resulting from a
force applied by the prime mover, fifteen minutes after activation
of the service brakes.
c.  Failure of the actuator ratchet to fully release the
service brakes when the release cable is pulled.
4.5.3 Inspection and test equipment.  The contractor is
responsible for providing all standard measuring and test equipment
required.  The contractor shall submit for approval inspection and
test equipment designs, as required, in accordance with the terms of
the contract and para. 6.8 and 6.2 herein.
4.5.3.1 Practice mines.  Unless otherwise specified in
procurement documents (see 6.2), M79 practice mines shall be used
for operation and functioning tests.
4.5.3.2 Inspection standards.  Inspection standards shall be
utilized for those characteristics requiring inspection decisions by
visual (eyesight) means.  Items selected as visual comparison
standards shall be mutually agreed to by the contractor and the
Government, within drawing and specification requirements, and shall
be used to assist in determining configuration and minimum
acceptance criteria.  The visual comparison standards selected shall
be subject to approval by the responsible technical agency.  Each
comparison or inspection standard shall be kept under the control
s
of the contractor inspection element and be positively identified
as to the characteristic or condition the standard represents, date
established as the standard, number of the standard, and identity of
the contractor and Government inspection personnel establishing the
standard.
4.5.4 Examinations.
Unless
otherwise specified, and when applicable, the
a.
sampling plans and
procedures shall be in accordance with
MIL-STD-105.  When
Acceptable Quality Levels (AQL's) are specified,
the AQL's shall be
individually applied in accordance with
MIL-STD-105.
b.  Visual, dimensional and primary functional inspection
shall consist of examination of the dispenser for conformance to the
applicable drawings and this specification.  Examination shall be
performed against the classification of defects and with the AQL's
shown therein.
