g.  With variable speed motor driving dispenser wheel at a
simulated 4 to 6 mph (6.4 to 9.7 kmph), launch twenty-five
(25) practice mines from each magazine.
The pattern width shall be observed for compliance with the
applicable requirement.
4.6.2.13.9 Automatic shut-down systems test. Critical (defect)
4.6.2.13.9.1 Jam arrest. Check launcher brake operation as
follows:
a. Mode selector switch in DISPENSE.
b. Density selector switch in MAX.
c. Pattern selector switch in JOG-CENTER.
Launch fifty (50) practice mines simultaneously from each
magazine and verify sensors are operational.  Disconnect output
sensor and launch six (6) practice mines, one at a time, three (3)
from each magazine. Record the time required to stop launch wheel.
Continue running dispenser engine for thirty (30) minutes, then
launch four (4) additional mines, two (2) from each magazine with
output sensors disconnected, recording time necessary to stall
launcher wheel.  The time for braking action shall be observed for
compliance with the applicable requirement.
4.6.2.13.9.2 Magazine shut-down. Start dispenser and operate
magazines in FIRE mode. Let launcher RPM decay to 790 by decreasing
engine throttle. Observe magazine for compliance with the
applicable requirement. In addition, launcher up to speed light on
OCP shall be off when magazines stop.
4.6.2.13.10 Pattern selections test. Test for pattern
selections as follows:
a. Mode selelctor switch in DISPENSE.
b. Density and pattern selector switches set for each
dispersion configuration in "D", "E", and "F" groups as
required.
c. With variable speed motor (see paragraph 4.6.2.13.1)
driving dispenser wheel at a simulated 2.5 mph (4 kmph) max.
launch  twenty-five (25) practice mines from each magazine as
specified in (b) above for each pattern selection in the
groups, for compliance with the applicable requirement.
