3.4.4.1 Service conditions.  The distribution box shall operate as required
under any of the environmental service conditions or combination of these
conditions as specified in MIL-T-28800 for Class 3 equipment,  As a minimum,
the distribution box shall be required to meet specified performance while
being exposed to the environmental conditions specified in 3.4.4.1.1
through 3.4.4.1.8.2.
3.4.4.1.1 High temperature.  The distribution box shall operate as required
during and after high-temperature exposure in accordance with 4.7.1.
3.4.4.1.2 Low temperature.  The distribution box shall operate as required
during and after low-temperature exposure in accordance with 4.7.2.
3.4.4.1.3 Humidity.  The distribution box shall operate as required after
being subjected to a humidity test in accordance with 4.7.3. The distribution
box shall not be damaged as a result of the humidity test specified herein.
3.4.4.1.4 Watertight.  The distribution box shall meet specified
performance and accuracy requirements after being exposed to a watertight
test in accordance with 4.7.4.
3,4.4.1.5 Fungus.  The distribution box shall withstand, in both an operating
and nonoperating condition, exposure of not less than 28 days in a fungi
saturated atmosphere of ideal incubation conditions as specified in  4.7,5.
3.4.4.1.6 Altitude.  The distribution box shall meet specified performance
and accuracy requirements during and after being subjected to altitude test
in accordance with 4.7.6.
3.4.4.1.7 Vibration.  The distribution box shall meet the specified
performance and accuracy requirements during and after being subjected to
vibration test in accordance with 4.7.7.
3.4.4.1.8 Shock.  The distribution box shall meet specified performance and
accuracy requirements after being subjected to shock test in accordance
with 4.7,8.
3.4.4.1.8.1 Transit drop.  The distribution box shall meet specified
performance and accuracy requirements after being subjected to drop test in
accordance with 4.7.9.
3.4.4.1.8.2 Bench handling.  The distribution box shall meet specified
performance and accuracy requirements after being subjected to bench
handling test in accordance with 4.7.10.
3.4.4.2 Warm-up time. The distribution box shall comply with specified
performance requirements after a IO-minute warm-up period following a 2-hour
nonoperating temperature stabilization period or as specified in the
applicable test method.
