MIL-F-20420J(AR)
The contractor shall provide adequate controls to insure
compliance with the requirements and shall select a three to four
ounce sample of each material, listed in Table III, from each eight
hours of production and place it in an air tight labeled container
indicating the name of the material and the date of production. If
the sample, after analysis, fails to comply with the applicable
requirements, the eight hours of production represented by the
sample shall be rejected.  Test procedures shall be as specified in
4.4.3.
4.4.3.3  Functioning.
The functioning test consists of three
(3) distinct phases:  Ambient, Cold, and Temperature-Humidy
Cycling.  Reduced sampling will be authorized only when three (3)
consecutive lots have met the acceptance criteria specified in all
three phases.  Compliance with the criteria in any one phase will
not result in reduced sampling for that phase.  The flare assemblies
shall be observed for any evidence of failure to comply with the
requirements as classified in Table IV when tested as specified in
4.5.4.
