3. REQUIREMENTS
3.1 First article. Requirements for submission of the first
article shall be as specified in the contract (see 6.1). Unless other-
wise specified (see 6.1), the first article shall include the pilot pack.
3.2 Materials, construction and design. Feeders and parts shall con-
form to the materials, construction and design requirements specified
herein, on Drawing F7791085 and in MIL-W-13855.
3.2.1 Actuating shaft. The actuating shaft shall move through its
full range of travel in the feeder shaft without binding to actuate the
collar assembly.
3.2.2 Anti-backlash Pins. The anti-backlash pins shall be retained
on the feeder housing by the spring pins and shall be held end returned
to the extended position by the springs. They shall function through
their full range of travel under spring action without binding.
3.2.3 Clevis.  The clevis shall be retained on the support by the
safety wired pin and shall move through its full range of travel
without binding to actuate the actuating shalt.
3.2.4 Clevis and solenoid support. The clevis and solenoid support
shall be fastened securely to the feeder housing by the bolts so that
there shall be no relative movement.
