MIL-F-81150A(OS)
operating" test of MIL-E-82590 and thereafter shall meet the require-
ments of 3.5.3.1.
4.5.3.2 High temperature, operating.  The bandpass filter shall be
subjected to the "High temperature, operating" test of MIL-E-82590 and,
while at the test temperature, shall meet the requirements of 3.5.3.2.
4-.5.3.3 Low temperature, nonoperating.  The bandpass filter shall be
subjected to the "LOW temperature, nonoperating" test of MIL-E-82590 and
thereafter shall meet the requirements of 3.5.3.3.
4.5.3.4 Low temperature, operating.  The bandpass filter shall be sub- .
jetted to the "Low temperature, operating" test of' MIL-E-82590 and, while
at the test temperature, shall meet the requirements of 3.5.3.4.
4.5.4 Immersion.  The bandpass filter shall show no evidence of leakage
while being subjected to the immersion test specified in MIL-STD-202, Method
104, Condition A, and thereafter shall meet the performance and product re-
quirements of this specification.
4.5.5  Operating life.
The test for operating life shall be conducted
as follows:
4.5,5.1 Connect the oscillator subassembly as shown in Figure 1. Ad-
just the variable resistor for 10 ma of current and allow this current
to flow for 30 plus or minus 1 minutes.  Disconnect the 90 vdc and allow
the circuit to rest for at least 1 hour.  This completes one cycle of
operation.
4.5.5.2 Repeat 4.5.5.1 until 800 cycles of operation have been com-
pleted, after which the bandpass filter shall meet all the requirements
of 3.4.1 through 3.4.12.
4.5.5.3 The test circuit components maybe replaced as necessary to
allow continuance of the test.
4.5.6 Functional tests.  At the conclusion of the tests specified in
4.5.1.3 and 4.5.2 above, functional and other tests, as applicable, shall
be conducted on the bandpass filter to determine freedom from operational
malfunction and compliance with all performance requirements and product
characteristics of this specification.
4.5.7 Waiver of tests.  Tests specified in 4.5.1.3 and 4.5.2 above may
be waived by the procuring agency for Level C packs only, provided the
contractor guarantees safe delivery to the using activity.
5.  PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY
5.1  Preservation and packaging. The levels of preservation and pack-
aging shall be specified (see 6.2).
