4.2.2.1 Final examination.  Each system shall have a final examination
after completion of all testing and prior to preservation and packaging. Each
system shall be visually examined for cleanliness, completeness of manufacture
and workmanship.
4.2.2.2 Test nonconformance.  If the test requirements cited herein are
not met, acceptance shall be deferred until a corrective action plan is
developed, implemented and required successful retests are accomplished.
Failures shall be as defined in 6.3.3.1 and 6.3.3.2. The contractor shall
accomplish the following:
a.
Conduct a failure analysis performing dimensional, physical and visual
examination of the components suspected to be the cause of the failure
or malfunction.
b.
Examine complete assemblies, partial assemblies and components (in
stock, in-process, or at final assembly) to ensure that material
containing the same potential for failure or malfunction is purged
from the inventory and not presented for acceptance.
Correct the deficiency by removal of the identified cause of the
c.
failure or malfunction and restore with acceptable material and
determine the retesting required.
d.
Evaluate and correct the applicable production processes and
procedures to preclude recurrence of the same failure or malfunction.
e.
Coincident with implementing the corrective action, make available the
findings of the failure analysis to the procuring activity.
f.
Submit the unit to an acceptable retest cycle to verify the corrective
action.
4.3
Test methods and procedures.
4.3.1 Item definition.  The requirements of 3.1 shall be verified by
successful completion of the inspections, demonstrations, and tests specified in
4.3.1.2 through 4.3.6.
4.3.1.2 Interface definition.
4.3.1.2.1 Electrical interface.
4.3.1.2.1.1 Electrical power supply. The electrical power inputs shall be
measured and recorded during testing. The electrical power inputs shall be in
accordance with 3.1.2.1.1.
