3.
REQUIREMENTS
3.1 Diesel generator set.
3.1.1 Design. The requirements specified herein shall be considered as minimum
standards and the design shall have as primary objectives the following:
(a) Maximum reliability.
(b) Maximum ease of operation.
(c) Maximum maintainability.
3.1.2 Reliability and maintainability. The contractor shall employ in the process
of design and manufacture such methods as are necessary to assure achievement of levels
of reliability and maintainability of the complete generator set not less than those
specified in 3.1.2.2 and 3.1.2.5 herein.
