3.2.1 Gun, M168. The 20mm, automatic, M168 gun shall be in accor-
dance with MIL-G-45500/3.
3.2.2 Range radar AN/VPS-2. The AN VPS-2 range radar shall be in
accordance with MIL-R-50651 and MIL-F-60 6
64.
3.2.3 Lead computing sight, M61. The M61 lead computing sight
shall be in accordance with MIL-S-60661 and MIL-F-60664.
3.2.4 Sight current generator.  The sight current generator shall
be in accordance with MIL-G-60662 and MIL-F-60664.
3.2.5 Running gear. The weapon system running gear wheel nuts
shall be torqued in accordance with the applicable drawing requirements.
Tire pressure shall be in accordance with drawing requirements.
3.2.6 Rear lights.  The rear lights, electrical harness and con-
nector shall be installed in accordance with drawing requirements.  There
shall be no shorts, and continuity shall be in accordance with drawing
requirements.
3.2.7 Hydraulic system.  The hydraulic system shall show no
evidence of oil leakage at the hydraulic fittings and connections when
under operating pressure in accordance with the drawing requirements.
3.2.8 Ammunition feed system.  The feed system shall consist of a
500 round ammunition can assembly, feed chute, link chute and a case
chute installed in accordance with drawing requirements.
3.3 Performance characteristics.
3.3.1 Warm-up.  The weapon system shall require no more than one
hour to warm up from -40F, and no more than four minutes at +60F or
above, to become operable in the test, radar, manual, external and
ground mode. Testing shall be as specified in 4.5.2.2.
3.3.1.1 Test mode.  The weapon system, when placed in the TEST
MODE, shall indicate that the weapon system is operational by the illumi-
nation of test completed light.  Testing shall be as specified in
4.5.2.2.
3.3.1.2 Radar mode.  The weapon system, when placed in the Radar
MODE, shall permit the following functions when actuating either or both
of the action switches located in the hand grips: Testing shall be as
specified in 4.5.2.2.
