PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY

5.1
Preservation and -packaging .-
Preservation and packaging of
the Generator shall be level A.  The unit package shall be one Generator.
5.1.1 Level A.-  The Generator shall be preserved and packaged in
accordance with Code of Federal Regulations 49 CFR 73.106.
5.1.2 Level B.-
Not applicable.
5.1.3 Level C.-
Not applicable.
5.2
Packing.-
Packing of the Generator shall be level A.
5.2.1
Level A.-
The Generator , preserved and packaged in
accordance with 5.1.1, shall be packed in a container in accordance with
the Code of Federal Regulations 49 CFR 73.106.
5.2.2
Level B.-
Not applicable.
Level C.- Not applicable.
5.2.3
Marking.-
Unit packages and shipping containers shall be

marked in accordance with the requirements of Standard MIL-STD-129 and
the Code of Federal Regulations 49 CFR 73.106.
6.
NOTES
6.1 Description and intended use.-
6.1.1
Description. -  The Gas Generator contains pyrotechnic
material initiated by a delay fuze which in turn has been initiated by
a "match-head" fired by extraction of a firing sear.
6.1.2
Intended use -  The Generator supplies gas pressure to
actuate a piston for an unlocking device in the Mk 32 Mod O Parachute Release.
6.2
Ordering data.-
Procurement documents should specify the
following:
