S o c i e t y for Testing and Materials, 1916 Race Street, Philadelphia,

T e c h n i c a l society and technical association specifications and
s t a n d a r d s are generally available for reference from libraries.
T h e y are also distributed among technical groups and using federal
agencies.
2.2 Order of precedence.  I n the event of a conflict between
t h e text of this specification and the reference cited herein, the
t e x t of this specification shall take precedence.
REQUIREMENTS

3 . 1 M a t e r i a l s .  M a t e r i a l s shall be in accordance with the
a p p l i c a b l e drawings and specifications.
T h e links shall comply with all requirements
3.2 Components.
s p e c i f i e d on drawing 7147028 and associated drawings and with all
r e q u i r e m e n t s specified in applicable specifications and standards.
3 . 3 P u l l .  L i n k s shall be capable of withstanding 600 + 25
p o u n d s tensile load without fracture. When tensile load is
applied, the distance X-X as shown on Drawing 7147028 shall not
e x c e e d 1.945 inches at load and the bridge shall be tight on the
b o d y after test. Testing shall be as specified in 4.5.1.
