Speed.  The loader, while running on a dry, clean,

smooth, level surface, with a 4500 pound weapon or store, shall be
capable of attaining a maximum forward speed of not less than 8 miles per
hour and not more than 10 miles per hour (see 4.8.2.1).
Climbing capability,  The loader shall be capable of
3.8.1.2
climbing a 20 percent grade without a load and climbing a 10 percent
grade with a 4500 pound load or store without stalling (see 4.6.2.2).
Side slope stability.  The loader with a 2000 pound
3.8.1.3
weapon or store on the forks or cradle, shall be capable of negotiating
a 10 percent side slope with the boom and manipulator in any position
(see 4.8.2.3).
Turning radius.  The loader shall be capable of
3.8.1.4
turning a 20-foot radius.  The loader shall turn in one motion without
backing (see 4.8.2.4).
Road test.  The loader shall be
capable of being
3.8.1.5
driven at speeds varying between 0 and 10 miles per
hour for a distance
of 50 miles without a load and 50 miles with a 4500
pound load or store
for a total of 100 miles without evidence of damage
or construction
deficiencies (see 4.8.2,5],
Cycle.  The loader shall be capable of meeting the
3.8.2
operational requirements during its service life without damage to any
components when subjected to 250 cycles of the cycle test (see 4.8.3).
Noise level.  The noise level of the loader shall be
3.8.3
85db(A) or less at the operator's station (see 4.8.4).
Electromagnetic radiation.  Unless otherwise specified
3.8.4
the loader shall be equipped for the suppression of radio interference
to meet the requirements of MIL-STD-461 for Class IIIC equipment (see
4.8.14).
Environmental.  The loader shall be capable of
3.8.5
operating without damage when subjected to the following environmental
conditions in MIL-STD-81O.
High temperature,  The loader shall be capable of
3.8.5.1
operation under high temperature conditions (see 4,8.6.1).
Low temperature.  The loader shall be capable of
3.8.5.2
operation under low temperature conditions (see 4.8.6.2).
Rain.  The loader shall be capable of operation
3.8.5.3
under rain conditions (see 4.8.6.3).
