5.3 Marking. In addition to any special marking or other identification
required by the Cent-ract- Or purchase order (see 6.2), unit packages and shipping
containers shall be marked in accordance with MIL-STD-129.

(This section contains information of a general nature that may be helpful
but is not mandatory).
6.1 Intended use. The LMU-23A/E and the LMU-23B/E launchers are intended
for use with the GTR-18A rocket and the PVU-3B/E or the PVU-3A/E igniter to train
aviation and ground forces to recognize and cope with attacking surface-launch
missiles.

g. Inspection conditions, if other than as specified In 4.3.
h. First article sample, if other than as specified In 4.4.1.
i. Level of preservation and packing, if other than as
specified in 5.1 and 5.2.
j. Marking If other than as specified in 5.3.
k. Where data items (see 6.3) are to be forwarded.
6.3 Consideration of data requ irements. The following data requirements
should be considered when this specification is applied on a contract. The
applicable Data Item Description (DID's) should be reviewed in conjunction with
the specific acquisition to ensure that only essential data are
requested/provided and that the DID's are tailored to reflect the requirements of
the specific acquisition. To ensure correct contractual application of the data
requirements, a Contract Data Requirements List (DD Form 1423) must be prepared
to obtain the data, except where DOD FAR Supplement 27.475-1 exempts the
requirements for a DD Form 1423.
