3.29.1  Rail.  Unless otherwise specified (see 6.2), the mixer shall be rail
transportable by wood-decked, open-top railcars.  The overall dimensions of the
mixer with the exhaust and air cleaner stacks removed, shall meet the
Passe-Partout International (PPI) requirements (see figure 1) for rail shipment.
When specified {see 6.2), mixers shall successfully complete the test described
in 4.5,2.18, test procedure for rail shipment.
3.29.2 Air.  Unless otherwise specified (see 6.2), the mixer shall be air
transportable by C-130, C-141, and C-5 aircraft and meet the requirements of
MIL-A-8421.  Disassembly to conform to this requirement shall be permitted
provided that such disassembly and reassembly can each be accomplished by one
man within 1 hour.  The envelope requirements of SAE J154 are not waived for air
transportability, even though the ROPS/FOPS may be removed (vehicle must be
capable of being driven onto aircraft).
3.29.3 Water.  Unless otherwise specified (see 6.2), the mixer shall be water
tansportable by all general cargo ships (breakbulk, roll-on/roll-off, LASH, and
SEABEE) and by the LARC XV and larger Army lighterage.
3.29.4 Highway.  Unless otherwise specified (see 6.2), the mixer shall be
highway transportable at its gross vehicle weight (GVW) without exceeding the
payload capacities of the vehicle combination providing transport.
3.30 Vehicle weight classification.  The contractor shall complete the
Government-furnished vehicle weight classification forms as specified (see 6.5).
3.31 Camouflage patterns data.  When specified (see 6.2.1), the contractor
shall generate camouflage pattern data.
3.32 Government furnished property.  When specified (see 6.2.1), the
following property will be furnished by the Government (see 6.7):

QUAILITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS.
4.1  Responsibility for inspection.  Unless otherwise specified in the
contract or purchase order, the contractor is responsible for the performance of
all inspection requirements as specified herein.  Except as otherwise specified
in the contract or purchase order, the contractor may use his own or any other
facilities suitable for the performance of the inspection requirements speci-
fied herein, unless disapproved by the Government.  The Government reserves the
right to perform any of the inspections set forth in the specification where
such inspections are deemed necessary to assure supplies and services conform to
prescribed requirements.
