4.5.1.2.1 Leg assemblies.
a.
Manually examine the leg assemblies (front, rear left,
and rear right) to determine compliance with 3.2.1,
3.2.1.3 and 3.2.1.6.
b.
Manually examine the front leg assembly and the front
leg clamping screw nut to determine compliance with
3.2.1.1 and 3.2.2.
c.
Manually examine the left rear leg assembly, the
right rear leg assembly, the sleeve lock latch, and
the sliding sleeve to determine compliance with
3.2.1.2, 3.2.1.4 and 3.2.1.5.
4.5.1.2.2 Pintle and pintle lock assembly.
a. Manually examine the pintle and pintle lock assembly
to determine compliance with 3.2.3, 3.2.4, 3.2.4.1
and 3.2.4.2.
b.  Disassemble the pintle and visually examine to assure
freedom from burs and mutilations on the bearing
surfaces of the pintle and sleeve bearing.
4.5.1.2.3 Traversing bar assembly.
Visually and manually examine the traversing bar
a.
assembly to determine compliance with 3.2.6.
b.
Visually examine for proper staking of the screw and
two bolts to determine compliance with Drawing
F6507135.
4.5.1.2.4 Traversing and elevating mechanism.
a. Manually examine the traversing and elevating
mechanism to determine compliance with 3.2.5.1
through 3.2.5.7.
b.  Visually examine the graduations on the traversing
mechanism scale dial and the elevating handwheel
to assure they are clear and legible.
c.  Visually examine to assure that the externally.
threaded ring is securely staked in position in
accordance with the applicable drawing.
d.  Manually examine the elevating mechanism assembly
to determine compliance with 3.2.5.
4.5.1.2.5 Mount assembly.
a.. Visually examine for proper staking of the nuts
retaining the rear legs and the nuts retaining
the tripod head spacers to determine compliance
with Drawing F6507135.
