3.13.8 Instrumentation.  Each engine shall be furnished with an instrument
panel in accordance with MIL-E-11276.  The panel shall include the lubricating
oil pressure gages coolant temperature gage tachometer, ammeter, engine hour-
meter, and fuel gage.  The hourmeter and tachometer may be combined into one
unit.
3.14 Cold-aggregate f'ceder. The cold-aggregate f'ceder shall be of hopper
and frame construction and shall consist of a two-bin coarse-aggregate hopper,
a two-bin fine-aggregate hopper, a reciprocating or belt-conveyor feeder
(course-aggregate hopper), and a belt-conveyor feeder (fine-aggregate hopper)
with discharge enclosure, all supported a a rigid steel frame end mounted on
a pneumstic-tired semitrailer chassis.  The cold-aggregate feeder shall dis-
charge into the cold-aggregate elevator or portable conveyor l
3.14.1 Capacity. The cold-aggregate feeder shall have a discharge capacity
of not less than 150 tons per hour (tph) when charged with limestone or gravel.
3.14.2 Hoppers. The coarse-aggregate and fine-aggregate hoppers shall be
of welded-steel construction, each divided two two bins to permit handling
of two sizes of aggregates in each hopper (total of four sizes of aggregates)*
The bin side p1ates and. divider plates shall prevent bridging or clogging of
the aggregate. Each bin shall have an opening of not less than 7 feet by 9
feet at the top. Hopper and bin extensions shall be provied for both hoppers.
Bins and bin extensions shall be provided with angle iron reinforcing to pre-
vent damage to the edges while bins are being charged. Each bin shall be
provided with an individual, adjustable control gate to regulate the flow of
aggregate. Each control gate shall be provided with an adjustment lever and
postion looking device.
3.14.2.1 Coarse-aggregate hopper. The coarse-aggregate hopper shall be
located at the rear of the semitrailer chassis and shall discharge onto a
reciprocating or belt-conveyor feeder.  The struck capacity of the coarse-
aggregate hopper (without extensions) shall be not less than 18 tons (9 tons
each bin).  Hopper and bin extensions shall increase the capacity of each
bin by not less than 6 tons.
