3.19.2.4 Vibrating mechanism. A mechanical vibrating mechanism shall be

3.19.2.5 Shaft bearings. All shaft bearings on the vibrating screen shall

dust shall be provided with labyrinth-type grease and dust seals to prevent
dust from entering the bearings. Drive shaft and bearings shall withstand
the loads imposed under maximum operating conditions specified herein.

3.19.2.6 Screen housing. The entire screen assembly shall be housed with
sheet steel of not less than 0.1345 inch nominal thickness to retain dust

and heat. Access openings and covers shall `be provided at all points requir-
ing inspection or maintenance and shall permit individual screen cloths to
be removed and replaced without disturbing the other screen cloths.

3.19.3 Screen flow-device(s). A quick-operating diversion device(s) shall
be provided to divert the most coarse aggregate from designated compartment
to the reject chute. The device(s) shall be operable from outside the unit
and shall not necessitate removal of screen cloth.

3.19.4 Bin. The bin shall be fabricated of sheet steel of not less than
0.1345 inch nominal thickness braced and reinforced with structural steel
shapes. The bin shall have a capacity of not less then 14 cubic yards of

ments shall be of approximately equal capacity while the fourth, the fine-
sand compartment, shall have a capacity of not less than 5 cubic yards.
3.19.4.1 Baffle plates. Baffle plates or other devices shall be provided
and installed in the fine-sand compartment in such a manner as to provide
positive control of fines flowing from the bin.

3.19.4.3 Automatic shutoff. Each control gate shall be provided with an
electrically-operated switch which will shut down operations when a gate fails
to feed its preselected capacity. All necessary electrical connections,
switches, wiring, and all other electrical devices required to connect to
the mixer electrical system shall be provide.
