4 . 4 . 3  T e s t i n g .  T e s t i n g is described in the first article and
quality conformance i n s p e c t i o n " C l a s s i f i c a t i o n of Defects and Tests"
forms and below.

4.4.3.l
d e v i c e shall be tested for compliance with the requirements listed
i n Table II.  A n y device classified as defective shall be removed
f r o m the lot.
4 . 4 . 3 . 2 T e s t i n g sequence.  T h e order of group testing shall be
A, B, and C:  O n l y lots that passed Group A tests shall be submitted
f o r Groupd B testing, and only lots that passed Group B tests shall
be submitted for Group C testing.
4 . 4 . 3 . 3 Croup A testing.  Random samples from each inspection
l o t shall be selected, i n accordance with this specification, and
tested at the minimum and maximum temperatures for compliance with
t h e requirements listed in Table II.  A n inspection lot which fails
t h e Group A test shall be classified as defective until all the
d e f e c t i v e devices within the lot are identified and removed by
s u b j e c t i n g all the devices in the lot to the Group A test.
4.4.3.4
Group B testing.  Random samples from each inspection
l o t that passed Group A tests shall be selected and tested for
compliance with the requirements of the Group B tests in accordance
w i t h t h i s s p e c i f i c a t i o n .  A n inspection lot shall not be shipped if
the devices of any subgroup of the Group B test fail to comply with
a l l of the specified requirements.
4 . 4 . 3 . 5 Group C testing.  Group C tests shall be performed on a
c o n t i n u i n g schedule of at least once every ninety (90) days while
t h e device is being produced.  Random samples from one inspection
l o t that passed Group B tests shall be selected and tested for
compliance with the requirements of the Group C tests in accordance
w i t h t h i s s p e c i f i c a t i o n s .  F u r t h e r inspection lots shall not be
s h i p p e d if the devices of any subgroup of the Group C tests fail to
c o m p l y with all of the specified requirements.
4 . 4 . 4  Inspection equipment.  T h e inspection equipment required
t o perform the examination and tests prescribed herein is identified
i n the Classification of Defects and Tests Forms and in 4.5 herein.
T h e contractor shall submit for approval inspection equipment
d e s i g n s , including alternate equivalent design which he may desire
to use, i n accordance with the terms of the contract.  See
MIL-M-38510 and 6.3 herein.
