MIL-N-81207A(AS)
3.5,7.14.3
TACAN Output Differential Transmitter - The
TACAN DATA OUT transmitter shall be capable of driving a line
which has up to 1,000 picofarads capacitance, terminated in a
resistive load of 2,500 ohms minimum, 10,000 ohms maximum, as
measured between the true and its complement.  Protection shall be
provided such that a short circuit of the output terminals to
ground does not result in damage to other circuit components or
affect any other channel.  When power is removed from a line
driver, its output impedance shall be greater than 10,000 ohms.
+5.0 1.0 Volts with the transmitter sourcing
Logical O
5.0 milliamperes maximum.
Logical 1
0 0.5 Volts with the transmitter sinking 5.0
milliamperes maximum.
Rise/Fall Time The rise/fall time shall be a maximum of 10% of
the clock period provided by the computer.
TACAN Input Differential Receiver - The TACAN
3.5.7.14.4
SHIFT CLOCK receiver shall be of the double ended, differential
amplifier type, Signal detection with reduced noise discrimination
shall be effected if one input becomes open circuited.  If both
inputs become open circuited, (source impedance  exceeds 10,000
ohms) the receiver shall operate as though a logical zero were
present at its input.  The receiver shall be capable of receiving
signals having the following characteristics:
+5.0 1.0 Volts with the receiver sinking 2.0
Logical 0
milliamperes maximum.
Logical 1
0 0.5 Volts with the receiver sourcing 2.0
milliamperes maximum.
TACAN Input Capacitance
500 picofarads maximum.
Common Mode Voltage
5 Volts maximum, with respect to
ground.
3.5.7.14.5
TACAN Input Discrete Receiver - The TACAN READ
and ADDRESS discrete inputs shall
single ended receivers.  If a
discrete input becomes open circuited, the receiver shall operate
as though a logical O were present at its inputs.  The receiver
shall be capable of receiving signals, referenced to signal
ground, with the following characteristics:
+5.0 1.0 Volts with the receiver sinking 2.0
Logical O
milliamperes maximum.
0 0.5 Volts with the receiver sourcing 2.0
Logical 1
milliamperes maximum.
