Mounting - The Converter shall contain mounting pro-

visions designed to allow the unit to be slid forward out of the normally
installed position for maintenance (Ref. Para. 3.5.14). The mount shall
not be supplied as part of the equipment.
Color - The surface shall be painted lusterless

Tactical Display Control (TDC) C-9862/ASN-124 - The

TDC shall meet the following requirements.
Function - The TDC shall provide function switches

(PBI) associated with the control of data to be displayed on the CRT.
It shall include readouts of scale in use on the CRT, HOOK cursor range
and bearing, and Edit/Message.  The panel shall conform to Figure 30.
Form Factor - The TDC including front panel protrusions,

attachment points, and connector projections shall be formed within the
following maximum dimensions (inches).

Depth dimensions shall be modified in a mounted configuration to
allow for an additional 2 inches permitting cover swing back.
Weight - The weight of the TDC shall not exceed 22

Contents - The TDC shall contain circuitry necessary

to set bits (LSB first in transmission) in a control word to the SDC and
to send Track Ball pulse train to the SDC. All data words shall be
transmitted serially.
TDC/SDC Interfaces - The TDC interface with the

Computer Subsystem shall be as follows:
TMEC Channel - The TMEC channel shall interface from
3.5.6.4.1.1
the TDC to the SDC.  Figure 31 is a timing diagram of the TMEC channel
and Figure 31 is the word format for the TMEC word. Each time a TMEC
word is formulated, the TMEC word discrete shall be set true and held
true until clocks are received from the computer. This discrete shall
be set to false again within 10 sec from the time the first clock iS
received from the computer.
The design shall be such that a new TMEC word cannot be formulated
until the old (previous) TMEC word has been read into the Computer.
