PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY

5.1 Packaging.-
Packaging shall be level A or C as specified (see 6.2).
5.1.1 Level A.-
5.1.1.1 Prepacking.-  The numbered pins shall be inserted in their proper
trays l nd filled trays then placed in their respective carrier cases.  Fifty
plain pins shall be closed and packaged in a minimum 60-pound kraft paper bag
fabricated from material conforming to grade E of UU-P-268, or a polyethylene
bag l nd placed in each carrier case.  The film for polyethylene bag shall be
minimum 0.003 Inch thick conforming to type II, grade A, B, or C finish 1 or 2
of L-P-378.  All scams of the polyethylene bag shall be effected by heat seal-
ing.

5.1.1.2 Packaging.-  Corrugated fiberboard pads shall be inserted between
the trays and all interior surfaces of the carrier case to insure a tight pack.
The door of each carrier case shall then be secured with the latch provided.
Each carrier case shall then be packaged in a snug-fitting fiberboard box
conforming to type CF, variety SW, or type SF, class domestic of PPP-B-636.
Closure shall be in accordance with method II of the appendix of PPP-B-636.
