NOTES
6.1 Intended use. - This periscope is utilized as a day or night sight-
ing and observation instrument. This capability is made possible by the
use of a passive sighting system and a conventional periscope optical sy-
stem encased in a single body assembly. The passive portion utilizes the
24 volt vehicle current source which is regulated to 2.7 volts, the re-
quired voltage to actuate the image intensifier tube.
6.2 Ordering data- Procurement documents should specify the follow-
ing:
a. Title, number and date of this specification
b. Selection of applicable levels of preservation, packaging
and packing
c. Applicable package data sheet (see 5.1)
d. Applicable stock number
e. Provisions for First Article Testing
6.3 Input coupling- At no time shall the input coupling be allowed
to strike hard against the travel stops.
