MIL-R-50746(MU)
8 August 1973
3.3.2. 3.2  Vibration "B". The unit shall show no physical failure
and shall meet the requirements of 303. 1.1 through 3.3.1.21.2, except
3.3.1.15.2, after-being exposed to the following vibratory conditions:
1/64 inch, constant
a.
Amplitude:
(1 /32 inch double amplitude)
Simple harmonic
b. Vibratory motion:
5 to 55 to 5 Hertz in
c.
Sweep time:
a 5-minute period
Three linear or logarithmic
d. Vibration cycling:
sweeps applied to each of the
three mutually perpendicular
axes (see figure 9).
3. 3.2.4 Shock.  The unit shall meet the requirements of 3. 3.1.1
through 3.3.1.21, except 3.3.15.2, after being exposed to a total of
15 shock impulses, three in each direction along the X and Y axes defined
on figure 9 and three in the plus (upward) direction along the Z axis.
Each shock impulse shall `be a half-sine wave with a time duration of 3.5
0.5 milliseconds and a peak amplitude of 100g.
3.3.3 Sealing.  With the unit initially pressurized with nitrogen
or air to 51 pounds per square inch gage (psig), the loss of pressure
shall not exceed 0.055 psig in one-half hour, except for special sampling-
environmental during which the loss of pressure shall not exceed 0.22
psig in 2 hours.
3.3.4 Internal pressure.  Subsequent to meeting the sealing
requirements, the unit shall be dry flushed with an internal atmosphere
containing nitrogen having a dew point of at least -63. 5F.  The nitrogen
used shall be Type X, Grade B, Class 1 nitrogen conforming to
BB-N-411. After the unit is flushed, an internal pressure of 3.5O.5
psig shall bc established.
3.3.5 Interface The unit shall be capable of interfacing with
the Adapter Plate (part no. 11665439) and Vision Block Housing of Cupola
(part no. 10955929).
