4.4 Quality conformance inspection.
4.4.1 Examination. Each roller shall be examined as specified in 4.5.1. Presence of one or more
defects shall be cause for rejection and no rejected roller shall be accepted until all defects are corrected.
4.4.2 Test. Each roller shall be tested as specified in 4.5.2.8. Failure of the test shall be cause for
rejection and no rejected roller shall be accepted until the cause and failures are corrected.
4.5 Inspection procedure.
4.5.1 Examination. The roller shall be examined for the following defects:

Assembly not complete or not correct.

Dimensions and weight not as specified.
103.
Material not as specified.
104.
Appearance of rust and corrosion.
105.
Materials not corrosion resistant.
106.
Dissimilar metals not in accordance with MIL-STD-889.

Material and or material finishes information not available.
108.
Safety devices, guards, insulation, not as specified.
109.
Maintainability not as specified.
110.
Parts interchangeability not as specified.
111.
Frame not as specified.
112.
Drawbar not as specified.
113.
Support leg not as specified.
114.
Drum not as specified.
115.
Drum cleaners not as specified.
116.
Rear clevis(s) not as specified.
117.
Power unit or power unit accessories not as specified.
118.
Fuel tank not as specified.
119.
Engine oil sampling valve not as specified.
120.
Clutch not as specified.

Battery or battery box not as specified.

Air cleaner not as specified.

Vibrating mechanism not as specified.
