4.6.8
Additional tests.  The ejector unit shall pass the follow-
ing tests of MIL-T-7743 as specified, except as modified herein. Appli-
cable impulse cartridges shall be used when required (see 6.2.lk). When
arming units or electric fuzes are required to be tested, only the tests
of 4.6.5 and 4.6.6, respectively, shall apply.

4.6.8.1
Electrical characteristics.  The electrical unit shall be
subjected to the electrical characteristics test, except that the test
temperature shall be 70C (158F). The minimum operating voltage
be demonstrated on the arming units only, which shall operate when 20
VDC is applied.
4.6.8.2
Lag time or time of release determination. The ejection
unit shall be subjected to this test with the following exceptions:
a.
Only horizontal releases shall be conducted.
b.
All ejections shall be performed with a 113 kilogram
(250 pound) simulated store suspended from the
ejector unit and swaybraced in accordance with 4.5c.
c.
The firing voltage shall be 20 VDC.
