SHOTGUN 12 GAGE, RIOT-TYPE
This specification is approved for use by all departments and
agencies of the Department of Defense.
SCOPE
1.
1.1 Scope This specification covers the requirements,
examinations and tests for three types and two classes, of
manually operated, slide action, hammerless, 12 gage riot-type
shotguns (see 6.1) .
1.2 Classification
Shotguns
covered

shall be of the following types and classes.
heat shield and-sling.
Type I. With bayonet adaptor,
Take-down receiver.
Class 1.
Solid receiver.
Class 2.
With sling only.
Type II.
Take-down receiver.
Class 1.
Solid receiver.
Class 2.
With rifle sights and sling.
Type III.
Class 1. Take-down receiver.
Class 2. Solid Receiver.
