MILITARY SPECIFICATION
SHAPER, WOODWORKING
This specification is approved for use by all Departments and Agencies of
the Department of Defense.
1.
SCOPE
1.1 Scope. This specification covers single and double spindle woodworking
shapers of the floor-mounted type with equipment and accessories specified
herein. Requirements
set forth in this specification and the completed
ordering
data (see paragraph 6.2)
establish the Government's minimum
requirements for each procurement.
1.2 Classification.
The shapers shall be of the following types and sizes.
The types and sizes to be furnished shall be as specified (see 3.5 and 6.2).
Type I - Single Spindle
Size 1 - 1 hp - 20-inch by 26-inch table
Size 2 - 2hp - 24-inch by 36-inch table
Size 3 - 5 hp - 35-inch by 42-inch table
