4.2 Test equipment and inspection facilities. The supplier shall establish and maintain a calibration system in
accordance with ANSI/NCSL Z540-1, ISO-10012-1, or equivalent.
4.3 Materials inspection. Materials inspection shall consist of certification that the materials used are of a type that
will ensure that the solenoid meets all the requirements of this specification.
4.4 Inspection conditions. Unless otherwise specified herein, all inspections shall be performed in accordance with
the test conditions specified in the General Requirements section of MIL-STD-202.
4.5 First article inspection. First article inspection shall be performed at a laboratory acceptable to the Government
on sample units produced with equipment and procedures normally used in production.
4.5.1 Sample size. Twelve solenoids shall be subjected to the first article inspection.
4.5.2 Inspection routine. The sample shall be subjected to the inspections specified in table II, in the order shown,
except that groups II and III may be conducted concurrently. All sample units shall be subjected to the inspection of
group I.
