*  4.3.3.5 Reliability and maintainability report. A report pertaining to reliability and
maintainability shall be furnished after completion of the extended road test. The report shall
contain the following information:
(a)
All failures, maintenance, and other events shall be recorded and identified by
accumulated operating time, miles, cycles, or position in the test procedure as
appropriate. Test conditions during the failures or irregular operations identified shall
be recorded.
(b)
Description of the engineering reasoning, and of any tests conducted to determine
assignable causes for all failures or irregular operations identified.
(c)
Description of the engineering reasoning behind any proposed corrections to be made
on the production items, and the predicted effectiveness of those corrections.
(d)
Test activity or contractor comments on item, features or requirements that, if modified,
should improve the item.
(e)
Estimates (within 5 percent of actual experienced) of manhours required for each

*  4.3.4 Turning and tracking tests. During the road test, conformance to turning and tracking
requirements (see 3.3.1 and 3.3.3) shall be verified.
*  4.3.5 Landing gear test. Periodically during the road test, functions of the landing gear shall
be tested to verify conformance to 3.13.
4.3.6 Brake tests. Brake tests to determine conformance to 3.3.2 shall be conducted during
the road test. The brake tests shall be conducted with the fully loaded semitrailer coupled to a
truck tractor. The truck tractor shall have a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) and gross
combination weight rating (GCWR) not exceeding that specified in table VIII, and shall be
