Provide a lever to valve, flexible, push-pull control cable of the water-proof,
noncorrosive and stainless steel SAE J917 type.
(4)
Provide control valve of the multiposition, spring centered spool type having
wiper seals.
(5)
Provide dump operator feedback warning when dump body is nearing
maximum dump angle.
(6)
Provide hoist control identification and position labeling on quadrant with
illumination for night operation and provide an on-off switch that is powered
from the marker lamp circuit.
(g)
Provide flexible hydraulic hose lines between all components as follows:
(1)
Provide hose per SAE J516 and SAE J517 having a working pressure rating in
excess of the relief valve setting.
(2)
Maintain hose bend sharpness in accordance with SAE J517 limits.
(3)
Provide fittings at ports of the components in accordance with SAE J514,
O-rings boss type, or SAE J518.
(4)
Provide test point connection at pump outlet line for measuring pressure.
(5)
Provide lines with reusable fittings; provide replacement lines with reusable
fittings and bulk hose size and length dimensions in the parts manual.
(6)
When applicable, wet line from truck-tractor to semitrailer furnished with a
minimum 120-in. length and with quick-disconnect fittings on semitrailer end
(and, when included, on the truck-tractor end).
(h)
Provide multi-segment telescopic hoist cylinder matched to the dump body having
sufficient mounting structure to spread the loadings over the dump body framing
and over the fifth-wheel or the chassis framing:
(1)
Provide cylinder of seamless or welded and redrawn steel tubing having
concentric bearing surfaces of the interstages.
(2)
Provide hard chrome plating of cylinder exterior working surfaces to prevent
corrosion
(3)
Provide hydraulic cylinder fail-safe check valve or safety velocity fuse to lock
the cylinder when oil escapes from the cylinder at a faster rate than normal
design.
(4)
Provide automatic means to bleed air from the hydraulic system and
especially the hydraulic cylinder.
(5)
Provide multi-stage telescopic cylinder wiping seals of the polyester elastomer
type having inner and outer lips on each stage to restrict the entrance of dust
and dirt ahead (outside) of the cylinder packings; wiping seal glands to fit
NFPA wiper groove dimensions.
(6)
Provide cylinder hydraulics which have a maximum down drift of 1-inch in a
30 minute time period when at rated payload and measured not more than
36-inches from the front of the dump body.
