MIL-S-48755A (AR)
be placed in a suitable test fixture and the pressure shall be
applied in accordance with 3.4.2.  Any unit which fails to release
when pressurized as evidenced by the bobbin core being retained
within the sensor case, or in which breakwire resistance is greater
than 0.1 ohms across the breakwire circuit shall be classed
defective and shall not be repressurized.  This test is
destructive.  Those units meeting the requirements of this paragraph
shall be used for the test in 4.5.1.3.
4.5.1.3 Tripline deployment.  After the sensor assembly is
tested in accordance with 4.5.1.2.1 or 4.5.1.2.2 and with the sensor
remaining in the test fixture, observation shall be made to assure
that the bobbin core, with tripline attached, and continuous to the
post, is deployed over a vertical barrier oriented as follows:
The barrier location shall be, as a minimum, be the
distance specified on Drawing 9292972, measured horizontally from
the sensor.
b.  Barrier height shall be, as a minimum, be the height
specified on Drawing 9292972, above the top of the sensor.
The sensor assembly shall be oriented to provide an angle
of inclination from the horizontal between 30 and 45.
A bobbin core that impacts ground level before the barrier or
impacts the barrier shall be considered defective.  This test is
destructive.  Those units that are capable of meeting the
requirements of the test specified in 4.5.1.4 shall be used for that
test even if they failed to meet the requirements for this test.
4.5.1.4 Breakwire function.  After the sensor assembly is
tested in accordance with 4.5.1.1, 4.5.1.2.1 or 4.5.1.2.2, and
4.5.1.3 the clamp device of deployment fixture, with the unit
remaining in place, shall be adjusted to position the deployed
sensor in an approximate horizontal attitude and a suitable force
gage attached to the tripline at a distance which is coincident with
the barrier.  A pull force shall be applied to the tripline along
the axis of the bobbin post and the force required for breakwire
function shall be noted.  The required force is that force at which
a clean break is indicated in the breakwire circuit as evidenced by
a resistance of 1000 ohms minimum for a minimum of 100
microseconds.  Any unit that fails to meet the specified drawing
requirements shall be classed defective.  The rate of pull shall be
3 ft. ~ 1 ft)/sec (approximately a normal walking rate of a
person).  Those units that are capable of meeting the requirements
of the test specified in 4.5.1.5 shall be used for that test even if
(Destructive
they failed to meet the requirements of this test.
