3.8.6.3.4 Extension cord. The floodlamp shall be provided with a heavy duty flexible
extension cord not less than 15 feet in length. One end of the cord shall be permanently attached
to the lamp. The other end shall be equipped with a disconnect plug connected to fit the
disconnect socket specified in 3.8.6.3.1.
3.8.6.3.5 Switch. A manually operated on-off switch shall be provided either on the
lamp body or in the cord adjacent to the lamp.
3.8.6.3.6 Storage provisions. Facilities shall be provided within the control cabinet
assembly for protection against damage and for storage of the floodlamp.
3.8.6.4 Handbook compartment. A handbook compartment shall be provided in the
control cabinet assembly at a location readily accessible to operating and maintenance personnel.
3.8.6.5 Padlocks. Heavy duty corrosion resistant padlocks shall be provided for the
control cabinet access door latches and the tool compartment. Not less than three master keys
shall be provided with each semitrailer.
3.9 Cabinet manifold, valves and gages.
3.9.1 Cylinder manifold assembly. The outlets of all individual cylinder valves shall be
manifolded together for discharging or filling through two valve-controlled final outlets located
in the center rear of the semitrailer. The manifold assembly shall consist principally of the
manifold piping, pressure gage(s), two master flow control and shutoff valves, and two final
outlet fittings.
3.9.2 Design and construction. The manifold assembly shall be designed and
constructed to handle helium gas without leakage during cylinder filling or discharging
operations and under the mobile operating and environmental conditions specified herein.
3.9.3 Manifold materials. The manifold assembly shall be constructed of corrosion-
resistant material with high impact resistance, such as copper or brass. Manifold piping, fittings,
and attachments shall be fabricated from materials that are chemically compatible with each
other or basically the same type material.
3.9.4 Manifold piping. The manifold piping shall consist of the manifold header plus a
branch line between each cylinder valve outlet and the header. All manifold piping shall be of
sufficient inside diameter to insure compliance with the delivery flow rate requirement specified
in 3.8.5.6.
